Girls

My issue with the HBO show Girls is not that it’s a bad show. I’m sure it’s a really good show, although I have not seen it and probably won’t, and I’m sure the writing is pretty cool too. I’m not even saying that the show needs a token black friend or asian friend. My issue with Girls is that it is called Girls when it only features white, heterosexual, upper middle class girls. Do not call a show GIRLS or talk about what an amazing thing it is doing for girls in general if the show is going to exclude most of them.
